Free Kinder is a Victorian Government initiative for everyone. Children in Victoria can now attend and receive Free Kinder for the two years before school, giving them the best start in life.

How much will I save?
Children enrolled in sessional kindergarten services receive a free program with no out of pocket fees.
You will save around $2,500 a year. This is based on 15 hours of kinder a week.
If your service offers additional hours beyond the maximum number of free program hours, these hours are optional and may attract a fee.

- Three-Year-Old Kindergarten — up to 15 hours a week
- Four-Year-Old Kindergarten — 15 hours a week

- For 3-year-old children, Free Kinder means a free kindergarten program of between 5 and 15 hours per week
- For 4-year-old children, Free Kinder means a free kindergarten program of 15 hours per week or, if Pre-Prep is available, a free program of 16 to up to 30 hours a week.
If your service offers additional hours beyond the maximum number of free program hours, these hours are optional and may attract a fee.
